DriveClub director's next game will be revealed later this year, but it won't be a racer - johnsonnoteduckers
Former DriveClub director Paul Rustchynsky has confirmed his next game will be revealed later this year.
As spotted by Video Games Chronicle, Rustchynsky made the annunciation happening his Twitter account. He's presently settled at the new Liverpool studio of the Avalanche Studios Group unveiled in June of 2020. They've been working on a new game for the former year, helium says, which will be disclosed at more or less point in 2022.
Possibly most intriguingly, the director has confirmed that the unexampled game South Korean won't equal a racer. This may make up a surprisal, as it's the genre just about associated with the developer who rose to protuberance at Development Studios. To boot to DriveClub on the PlayStation 4, Rustchynsky also worked connected MotorStorm and Onrush. Helium also worked on Projection Cars 3 following Phylogeny's absorption away Codemasters in 2016. Rustchynsky departed Codemasters in 2020 to unite Avalanche along with galore other members of the original Evolution team.
"Then sorry, no DRIVECLUB sequel, MotorStorm heir Beaver State Onslaught offshoot," he tweeted connected the red-hot project. "This is something very different to anything I've worked on in front". Responding to replies on Chitter, he also added "There are more projects existence worked on at Roll down than most people would expect!"
Finally, Paul was also asked nearly a potentiality DriveClub continuation, but regrettably that doesn't attend possible. "The chance of a direct sequel is implausibly slim," he said, "but I'd love to be up to his neck in a spiritual successor if the chance ever came up." It's a shame, as we were bear-sized fans of the original at the time.
To set some expectations, I'm not functional on a racing game.
So sorry, No DRIVECLUB subsequence, MotorStorm successor Oregon ONRUSH offshoot.
This is something selfsame different to anything I've worked on before. https://t.co/uHvZ6DHkI3
